The Canadian Poker League built by Canadians for Canadians

The world of online multiplayer poker has gone though many changes since its humble beginnings in the late nineties when Planet Poker first introduced their game to the online gaming community. Soon after other software houses were quick to develop their multiplayer poker games and the industry began to flourish on the Internet evolving to the point where big companies are even co-sponsoring with the likes of Brewer's Retail and the Beer Store in Ontario.

In 2005 a group of web savvy Canuck IT professionals and poker player enthusiasts set about to develop a superior game in terms of its look and feel and all-round playability. The result is what you will experience when you join the Canadian Poker League and download The Only Poker software. We hope you will share our pleasure by participating in the new poker game platform we have created.

Canadian Poker League games: tournaments are held daily and play right across the country at the same time. Times are localized for your convenience on our tournament schedule. There are Sit and Go tournaments as well as poker leagues for interest groups. We have a senior's league, a woman's league, and a league for beginners and one for sharks. By joining one league, you are not necessarily excluded from other league games. Both seniors and woman's league players can play in any of the open tournaments. If your city or town is not represented and you would like it to be, just email us and we will work along with you to create a new poker club for your area.

Poker Clubs: to play in league tournaments, you must first join one of the poker clubs on the network. Click on a city nearest you, join and become a member of that poker club. Registration is simple and takes about two minutes. Your club will be your base for tournament action and its also a good way to meet other players in your area for home games. The CPL features local, provincial and National tournaments. We will soon be introducing a progressive satellite tournament due to be released in the fall of 2007. Satellite tournaments will play for 2008 World Poker Series seats starting in the fall '07.

Marketing Partnerships: Need a Part-time job? We are looking for marketing partners in about 80 communities. If you enjoy socializing and are seeking a part-time income, contact us. You'll be glad you did.

Thank you for joining The Canadian Poker League and please tell your friends about us. We look forward to providing quality customer service while meeting your entertainment needs and expectations. We hope to see you at the tables meeting new friends while enjoying our tournament action coast-to-coast.

Sincerely,

The CPL Team

PS: if you would like to see league games at different times than we have set up, please let us know about it. We have tried to accomodate simultaneous play across six-and-a-half times zones, and we do our best to accomodate everyone, including our friends in NFLD.
